CCI Staff Members Earn AICPA Not-For-Profit Certificate

AICPA Not-for-profit Certificate Award winning

Five of the CCI Staff Members have earned the AICPA Not-For-Profit Certificate in 2017 as part of their continuing professional development. This certificate demonstrates their in-depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting issues. The staff members who achieved this distinction this year are:

Julie Graham Receives Library Champion Award

CCI’s Managing Technical Director, Julie S. Graham and her husband, K. David Graham, were presented the Library Champion Award on Friday, November 10th, 2017 by the Easttown Library Foundation for their continued support of and advocacy for the library over a twenty year period. They also received commendations from PA State Representative Duane Milne, Commissioner Terence Farrell, and Easttown Supervisor Christopher Polites.

Louise Schorn Smith, CCI President, participated as a volunteer in the Business Leader Speed Networking Event for the Girls Advisory Board of the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The Girls Advisory Board gives high school girls from Chester County the opportunity to work together to make grants to nonprofits in the county that address issues important to women and girls. The Business Leader Speed Networking Event gave the girls firsthand access to business leaders to learn about their careers, their personal stories and advice for the future. Louise Schorn Smith Wins AWSCPA 2015 Lead By Example Award

HOUSTON, TEXAS – The American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) is pleased to announce that Louise Schorn Smith, CPA, CMA, has been honored as the recipient of its 2015 Lead by Example Award.  This award recognizes businesses with a strong women’s program in place and strong women in leadership positions.

Louise is the founder and President of Countryside Consulting, Inc. (CCI), an accounting and financial management consulting firm located outside Philadelphia, PA, primarily serving non-profit organizations of southeastern Pennsylvania.  CCI’s corporate mission includes providing non-profit clients with the highest quality accounting services while allowing employees to define their own work/life balance.  Louise employs a team of ten female accountants (CPAs, accountants, and bookkeepers) and fosters a work environment that values professional accomplishment, community contributions, and flexible work schedules to accommodate family and personal commitments.
