Five of the CCI Staff Members have earned the AICPA Not-For-Profit Certificate in 2017 as part of their continuing professional development. This certificate demonstrates their in-depth knowledge of nonprofit accounting issues. The staff members who achieved this distinction this year are:
CCI’s Managing Technical Director, Julie S. Graham and her husband, K. David Graham, were presented the Library Champion Award on Friday, November 10th, 2017 by the Easttown Library Foundation for their continued support of and advocacy for the library over a twenty year period. They also received commendations from PA State Representative Duane Milne, Commissioner Terence Farrell, and Easttown Supervisor Christopher Polites.
Louise Schorn Smith, CCI President, participated as a volunteer in the Business Leader Speed Networking Event for the Girls Advisory Board of the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The Girls Advisory Board gives high school girls from Chester County the opportunity to work together to make grants to nonprofits in the county that address issues important to women and girls. The Business Leader Speed Networking Event gave the girls firsthand access to business leaders to learn about their careers, their personal stories and advice for the future. HOUSTON, TEXAS – The American Woman’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (AWSCPA) is pleased to announce that Louise Schorn Smith, CPA, CMA, has been honored as the recipient of its 2015 Lead by Example Award.
